The HI-38049 test kit measures the ammonia nitrogen concentration up to 3 ppm in fresh water using Nessler's colorimetric method.Ammonia reacts with reagents in the base solution to form a yellow compound. The adsorption of this colored product is proportional to the ammonia-nitrogen concentration present in the aqueous sample.

Equipment set included

20 ml ammonia reagent, 20 ml Nessler reagent, check plate, two vials with caps and 3 ml plastic pipettes.
