HI38000-10 is a high-quality, pre-determined reagent that allows users to quickly and accurately measure sulfates with a chemical test kit. These reagents follow the barium chloride turbidity method to determine the sulfate concentration.

For the sulfate detection, barium chloride reagents are added to the acidic sample. The reaction between sulfate ions and reagents produces a barium sulfate suspension. The supplied glass test tubes are then filled with slowly reacting samples. When the black dot at the bottom of the test tube is no longer visible, the in vitro fluid level indicates the sulfate concentration in mg / L (ppm). These reagents are designed for use with samples with Sulfate values in the range of 20 to 30 mg / L and 30 to 100 mg / L.
